2 WHOLE Months!

Liv,
It's your 2 month birthday. Here are some facts about this time in your life.

You LOVE Daddy. I know in this picture you might disagree but he does so much for you. He wakes up in the middle of the night and changes you and you also laughed at him for  the first time.

I started back at work 2 weeks ago.  It was tough but you are doing great with your sitters while Daddy is in class. You love to take naps with me on my tummy.

You LOVE the bath. You take long baths and get mad when its time to get out and dry off.

Daddy bought you this Pluto dog when you were in my belly. You talk to
him every time you are being changed.

You have the prettiest gummy smile and will smile every time we make the boat sound.

You have been holding your neck up for awhile but lately you are super woman looking all around.

At night you don't want to go to sleep but once your out you've been sleeping 8 hours!!!

We go for your check up to find out how much you've grown. I'm guessing at least 2 pounds. I'm going to lay you down now and hope Daddy doesn't wake you when he gets back from his run. We love you and are praying for you.

Olivia

You are 1 month old today.

We have heard you laugh twice in your sleep and it is the sweetest thing in the whole wide world.

You've peed on Daddy ( actually you spray peed on him ).

You are fighting sleep right now as I type. Daddy is sleeping and I'm awake with you.

You have started to love looking around and you are taking in the world.

You love listening to your Daddy's voice.

You just moved up to size 1 diapers and you weighed 9.7lb.

Ella loves on you. No really she sits on you.

Daddy and I pray over you every night before we go to sleep. We are doing our best to be the parents God wants us to be and we are excited to have had you here with us for a whole month. I can't help but think about your older brother or sister that is in Heaven. You have taught us even more just how precious life is. We love you Ms. Livie. Oh and your Daddy nicknamed you Chewy.. because of your stinking cute sneezes. I promise I'm trying to get better at taking your pictures considering I'm a photographer and all....

Happy 1 Month Baby Girl!

Whew..

Move in has been accomplished.. I continued to freak out the whole day thinking at any minute Olivia was going to come early. She did not, obviously. However, we did get a little over heated and we had to cool off rather quickly. I could have sworn I was going to black out or die.. But I also did not lol. This week has been a lot of fun with all the stuff the school does for the start of a new school year and for the new students. The events have been tons of fun and my only wish is that I maybe wasn't so preggo so I could do more. But rest I must.

Jeff started his last "first" day of a fall semester as he is gearing up for graduation. I couldn't be more proud of his accomplishment of finishing his degree in just 3 short years. Not to mention the fact that I seriously wonder how he ended up with me.. He is so loving and caring. Always taking care of the small things for Olivia who isn't even here yet. I'm extremely thankful and I'm glad I've realized just how rare our relationship is and how much it needs to be protected. We have experienced great loss together.. Huge changes.. But we just don't take ourselves too seriously. You can't. Life is too short. I am very blessed and I don't thank God enough. Our life isn't perfect.. But we make it our own and change what we can and don't worry about what we can't.

We are waiting for some test results to come back from the doctor to see if Ms. Olivia will be joining us sooner than expected or not. We go back Friday so hopefully they will know by then. I can't believe it could already be time for her to arrive.. Crazy! Any bets on how big she'll be and when she'll arrive?

34 what?

Holy junk... I'm 34 weeks tomorrow. I keep trying to think of things we need.. I'm sure we are missing something. At this point though my mind is completely in work mode trying to get everything done that is needed to be done before I disappear. Jeff is getting ready for classes to start and is preparing for one last tough semester. Spring should be a breeze for him. I don't have a lot of thoughts tonight .. Besides the broken AC and something Else with the transmission :( money vanishing before my eyes. Money that doesn't exist yet. But I'm thankful for all God continues to show us. Even when my car breaks down :)

Headband Mania

It is official. Since my house is clean, besides the kitchen, there isn't much for me to NEST around in. So I've started making headbands. You know the kind everyone is buying on etsy for 7-15 dollars. Thus far I have created about 10 head bands, 6 clips, and 9 flowers waiting to be either a headband or a clip. I am loving everything about it. Expect burning my finger tonight. Yes, fire is involved in the making of some of these and no I'm not sure its safe for me to be doing but they look so cute. :D Don't worry I'm making sure to unplug the hot glue gun every time I use it and since I'm using matches the only thing I'm burning down is the skin on my fingers. Here are just two examples of what I have been making..

We added a black futon to our living room and a rug from IKEA. Ella hasn't quite figured out what all we are doing but she figures if her bone is allowed then she likes whatever it is we are doing.

Below I'm 32 weeks. It has FLOWN by. Oh and my new hair cut!

Yes, I realize I'm now missing an eye.. but I gained feathers. An Eye for a Feather...

That is all I have to offer from my scattered brain tonight.

Kick boxer..

Most people refer to their daughters as dancers or gymnast. I'm pretty sure mine is going to be a kick boxer.  The super pretty kind though. Every night as I finally settle down and start to read or just relax Olivia starts these MAD kicking sprees. I truly believe she is practicing for some type of martial art in there. Oh well... Maybe I can get her to wear a tutu as she kicks all the boys?

I got a haircut today. A long over due hair cut I may add. Tons of layers and feathers. Yes, I bought into the trend (literally) and added some feathers to this mane of mine. They are fun and spunky, the way I need to feel going into the last 2 months of this pregnancy. 2 MONTHS! I'll be 32 weeks on Thursday and I can't believe its real or that this is really happening so fast some days. I try to slow the memories down and just thank God for all that is around me.

I've had two great showers, thrown by friends and family that love me deeply. They blessed us beyond belief with everything we need for Olivia. I'm pretty sure our NOW needs have been met. Jeff keeps saying diapers but we have a closet full.. so I think we are ok for the first few months but what do I know? Would you believe me if I told you I didn't take my camera to my Atlanta shower? That's right. I forgot it in Mobile, AL. My Mobile shower I did take a few pictures at.. but they have yet to make it to my computer. Slow is the pace I am running on right now... I need to pick it up just a little bit.

All things considered I am extremely excited to start this new school year. Its Jeff's last year! That's right, I said LAST YEAR! I'm so proud of him for finishing a degree in 3 years. He has pushed himself to the extreme and had many sleepless nights (just practicing for Olivia) but has earned every part of graduating in 3 years! May 12th, 2012. I'll be there with an air horn!

Here are some pictures of Olivia's bedding.. I can't remember what I have and haven't posted on here..

3rd

We made it to the 3rd trimester. I think the most exciting part about this is knowing that if for some strange reason Olivia needed to be born now.... she'd have a very high percentage of a healthy life! Yay!

Jeff and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on June 9th by going out to Ruth Chris Steak House. Holy Junk! That was the best food I have ever had in my entire life.. no joke.
On our way to dinner :)
Self Timer :)

Amazing cheesecake with fresh strawberries on top :)

This past week I went to the NLF conference with my co-workers and both bosses. There were definitely some great things to be learned by all these amazing people who speak every year. I wish more teachers would find themselves spending their time and summers going to grow themselves for this next generation. Hands down the best speaker (in my eyes) was Rudy Ruettiger. Not only is the movie "Rudy" one of my FAVs, I just thought he had so much inspiration to offer. I was also pretty stoked when I was on the way to the ladies room and was able to snag this....

Well, Hello Mr. Ruettiger! Sweet!

Not much has been going on with the Henderson's besides some major organizing and cleaning for the preparation of this weekend. My parents will be bringing her crib and dresser over for us to start the set up of her awesome lil nursery corner we are making her. Olivia's bedding will be ready sometime this week and I can quite honestly say I'm holding my breath for the phone call. I'm so excited! These moments are so surreal for Jeff and I. We aren't taking any of them for granted. I don't know what the future holds for our family of 3, so I'm choosing to be excited for the moments we are in. I've stopped searching for whats next and started to enjoy my "season". It's a life lesson that has taken me too many years to learn.

Ella, is not quite sure she understands all this hoopla over a baby...
